DECLARATION ON ACCESSIBILITY

Schloss Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsges.m.b.H endeavours to make its websites accessible in compliance with theWeb Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for implementing Guideline (EU) 2016/2102 issued on 26 October 2016 by the European Parliament and the Council on free accessibility websites and on enabling free accessibility to the mobile devices of public bodies.

This declaration on accessibility applies to the website www.timeslot.schoenbrunn-group.com

STATUS OF COMPATIBILITY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS

On account of the following incompatibilities and exceptions, this website is partly compatible with the level of conformance AA of the ‘Web Content Accessibility Guidelines’ – WCAG 2.1’, respectively with the valid European standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08).

NON-ACCESSIBLE CONTENT

The contents stated below are not accessible for the following reasons:

A) INCOMPATIBILITY WITH THE ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES

Success Criterion 1.1.1 ‘Non-text Content’

The homepage features a large background image, which is used purely for decorative purposes and does not have any alternative text. Some of the product images on the ticket detail pages (e.g. photos of the castle) are displayed without descriptive alternative text.

Success Criterion 1.4.3 ‘Contrast (Minimum)’

The site slogan and headings on the home page are set against a dark background image. Depending on the cropping of the image and the screen size, the contrast ratio is not consistently maintained. The same applies to light-coloured text elements (e.g. prices) on gold-coloured or image-based backgrounds in the ticket overview.

Success Criterion 2.1.1 ‘Keyboard’

The date picker used to select the date of entry on the ticket details pages can only be operated to a limited extent using the keyboard. The drop-down menu for language selection (DE/EN/FR/IT) is not adequately labelled for screen reader users.

Success Criterion 4.1.2 “Name, Role, Value”

The plus/minus buttons for selecting the number of tickets on the booking pages do not have a label that can be read by a screen reader (no ARIA label). Changes in the shopping basket (items added, total price updated) are not communicated to screen readers as a live region.
